Ethics and Integrity of Practice

You are invited to feel safe here.

I believe you have the right to ask a healer/practitioner about their context, frame of reference and values before deciding to work with them. Working with a practitioner is very intimate and vulnerable, and you deserve informed consent regarding sociopolitical views, religious or medical views, or anything that you need to feel safe with this person.

By stepping into the field of me (Michelle Hawk) and my work, you are entering an etheric temple of safety, integrity, welcoming, honoring and authenticity. You are invited to be wholly, thoroughly, unapologetically you.

This is a safe place for black, brown and indigenous people. I live in a white body and I recognize that we live in a racist society predicated on white body supremacy, and that I am advantaged by that structure. I honor, respect and fiercely protect the sovereignty, freedom and joy of black, brown and indigenous people. You are invited to feel safe here.

This is a safe place for LGBTQIA2S+ people. I live in a cisgendered, straight-passing body and I recognize that we live in a society that marginalizes and dehumanizes queer, trans, gay, and nonbinary people, and that I am advantaged by that structure. I honor, respect and fiercely protect the joy, freedom and sovereignty of LGBTQIA2S+ people. You are invited to feel safe here.

This is a safe place for empaths, survivors, people who feel lost, alone, stuck, ashamed and afraid. You are not wrong. You are not broken. We live in a toxic society built on systemic trauma, oppression, violence and fear. I am here to build a new structure in my life, in the lives of my students and clients, and in the world. I honor, respect and fiercely protect the joy, freedom, sovereignty, humanity, empathy, love and empowerment of all people. You are invited to feel safe here.

This is a safe place for vulnerable people. Women, I believe in your right to choose, your sexual freedom, your reproductive freedom, your right to vote. I stand for that right. Immigrants and refugees, I believe in your right to stay with your families, to be protected in a place you now call home, and to feel that you belong. I stand for your rights. Those in health crisis, I believe in your right to quality and immediate healthcare, without prejudice or discrimination. I believe in universal health care and wellness for all people, and I stand for that right. Those who are unhoused, I believe in your right to a safe and comfortable home. I believe in your right to social services and care, and I stand for that right. Those who are hungry, I believe in your right to nutritious, healthy food. I believe in school lunch programs and community kitchens and gardens, and I stand for that right. Those who are struggling with mental health or addiction, I believe in your right to compassionate care and treatment, and I stand for that right. You are invited to feel safe here.

This is a safe place for all beings. We live in a hierarchical society that places humanity above all other forms of life, separates humans from Earth, tames humans and consumes Earthly resources without care or regard for the sanctity of life. I am here to anchor and embody the wisdom of right relation with Earth and all beings, to create structures of sustainability, reciprocal generosity and omnipositive consciousness, to rewild myself and all of humanity. I honor, respect and fiercely protect the safety, freedom and sovereignty of all beings on Earth, and Gaia herself. You are invited to feel safe here.

I recognize that the land I live and practice my work on was stolen from the Cayuse, Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde, Confederated Tribes of Siletz, Umatilla, Walla Walla and Wasco people.

Many blessings,

Michelle Hawk
